Whether you’re backpacking, running a mountain trail or getting away on a wild camping trip, the question of clean drinking water is always foremost. The Trail Base Water Filter Kit gives you a reliable and highly-versatile way to filter drinking water across all outdoor adventures.

The Trail Base features a modular design, comprising the pocket-sized Trail Filter that can be used alone for minimalist outings – such as trail running, ultra-marathon and biking trips. The easy to use hand-pump design is able to filter up to 1L of clean water in 60 seconds. This lets you filter clean water straight into a bottle, keeping you refreshed on the go.

For destination camping and expeditions, the Trail Filter uses a quick connect tube system that links clean and dirty water reservoirs to create a gravity-fed water filtration system. Simply fill the ‘dirty’ reservoir from the water source, attach the Trail Filter and let water filter into the ‘clean’ reservoir below. The included 2L water reservoir can also be used as a standalone water carrier for everyday camping.

The Trail Base filter uses a replaceable hollow fibre filter. It features an easy to use squeeze-pump design that filters up to 1 litre per minute with 2000 litres per filter (average). The attached tube is quick to deploy and lets you drink directly from source without lying down to fill or scoop.

The Trail Base filters out water-borne bacteria, protozoa and particulates (sediment, silt). It does not offer effective protection against viruses. A simple mechanical design, it uses no batteries or chemicals and can be cleaned/maintained in the field with a tool-free design.

The 2L dirty water reservoir features a roll-top design that lets you scoop water directly from the source. Water reservoirs feature a durable, lightweight construction with sturdy RF welded seams.
