About the MSR Trailshot Microfilter

Whether you’re backpacking, running a mountain trail or getting away from the city on a wild camping trip, the question of clean drinking water is always foremost. The TrailShot Microfilter from MSR gives you a fast and reliable way to filter drinking water for outdoor adventures.

The pocket-sized design is compact with a replaceable hollow fibre filter. It features an easy-to-use squeeze-pump design that filters up to 1 litre per minute with 2000 litres per filter. The attached tube is quick to deploy and lets you drink directly from the source without lying down to fill or scoop.

The ideal water treatment option for light to moderate use, the Trailshot filters out water-borne bacteria, protozoa and particulates (sediment, silt). It does not offer effective protection against viruses. A simple mechanical design uses no batteries or chemicals and can be cleaned/maintained in the field with a tool-free design.
