For a double sleeping bag, the Backcountry Bed Duo comes in at a compact 43 x 28 cm packed size with a trail weight of just 2110g – great for car camping but light enough for shorter 2-person hikes.

Sierra Designs have reduced the Backcountry Bed’s weight in a number of innovative ways without compromising on function. 700 fill DriDown® delivers high-loft insulation that maintains thermal efficiency even when damp. Sleeping pad sleeves in the base hold pads in place for comfort and warmth and replace unnecessary bottom insulation. The Backcountry Bed features Sierra Designs’ patented zipperless design. In place of a zip that can add weight and restrict movement, it features an oversized integrated comforter on each side that works with insulated hand/arm pockets to keep the comforter wrapped around your body while you sleep. This effectively seals out drafts to deliver the next level in comfort without the feeling of being confined. For warmer weather camping, each comforter can simply be folded out of the way as you would a duvet allowing each sleeper to choose their level of warmth.

A stretch cord closure system seals out drafts for added protection while an innovative self-sealing foot vent lets you slip your feet free from the bag for fast and easy ventilation on warmer nights.
